My name is Jan Urschel. I am a creative based in Singapore and the Hendrix Design Membership is my independent art platform. It's available to members only - a place for my fans to support my work.

By signing up and choosing a membership tier, you'll get access to everything that gets published until your subscription runs out. You get full access to the website (depending on your tier), as well as email newsletters.

But for what?

With this page I am hoping to prove (to myself and others) that we can live and work differently as an artist in 2025. To create unique work true to our voice. To share it without it getting lost in the aether. And to be able to feed our kids.

For the few ...
The Hendrix Membership is made only for my fans and loyal supporters, the few on whose undivided attention I know I can count.

For others to excel ...
When watching isolated video and tutorials from certain artists it paints a very incomplete picture (no pun intended) of that persons workflow and thought process. A lot of decision making happens outside those videos and remain hidden. With this membership program I aim to lift the curtain a little bit more and show more of what drives me as a designer and artists.

For adding value ...
With The Hendrix Membership I hope to add extra value to my work and the work of commercial artists in general. We're used to mindlessly throwing "content" up on social media and watching it disappear into the abyss in seconds to never be seen again (and for sure not by people who follow us!). Offering something outside of the readily (and freely) available I do hope my members do not scroll aimlessly past it, but cherish and enjoy the art and ideas.
Hopefully it inspires them to create more and better and offers much needed solace in these dark times.

Not for AI ...
AI is ransacking all industries and social media companies are either joining or selling the content we produced to AI companies without our consent. By taking a step back and by hiding things behind a paywall I hope we have some protection against AI bots stealing our work.

But in the end also for me.
I have worked on movies, video games, architecture, online media etc for all 25+ years of my professional career. However it has always been someone else's vision and idea that I needed to bring to life. Now I need to have my own space. The one where I get to make and decide everything.
